Its kinda weird watching old tv shows. Well, weird in a good way of course. All of these shows I never heard about until now. Tv shows back then were either good or bad depending on the show itself. They were either original ideas or from some sort of source material.

But I can’t understand why we can’t have those kind of shows anymore. I mean, all we get now are reboots, revivals or anything of the sort. The only shows I watch are ones I heard about or did research about it online.

I guess we live in that age now where things are being rebooted or revived. As long as we enjoy the shows we are watching, I think thats what really matters most. But at some point, tv shows will come to an end or get cancelled due to low ratings or something of the sort.

All we can do for now is watch our favorite shows. Past, or Present. Or even Future for that matter.

TV Talk: Day 26

Tv show: Magnum P.I.

Aired: December 11th, 1980 – May 8th, 1988

About: Thomas Magnum is a private investigator solving cases in Hawaii.

Would I recommend: Yes, I would. Its really good and I enjoy the setting, and of course the main character himself.

Other Info: There have been crossover episodes with Murder She Wrote and also Simon and Simon. Depending on the crossover the plot concluded on their shows respectively. However, for re-runs and broadcast overseas, they filmed alternate endings instead so its more of a stand alone story and it wraps things up instead of being a two parter episode.

To be honest, I think songs are really amazing to listen to because they can make you happy, sad, angry, or any other emotion. But I think whats important is that they are here to keep us motivated and give us the confidence to do things we can’t really do.

Supernatural: Roadtrip?

That would be pretty awesome to go on a roadtrip with the Winchester brothers. I mean, who wouldn’t want to do that? I like going on Road Trips. They are fun. We can jam out to Classic Rock music, eat food, travel across the country, visit places, meet new people, etc. And stay at a motel as well. Now thats something I would never forget. It would be the trip of a lifetime. One can only imagine it though.

Supernatural: Shortest Season?

Season 3 was the shortest season in Supernatural. There was supposed to be 22 episodes for Season 3 but due to the writers strike at the time, it was cut down to 16 episodes. This the only season to get affected by the writers strike. The rest of the seasons of Supernatural have at least 21 or 22 episodes.

The writers strike pretty much just means that they wanted more money and as a result a bunch of shows that were airing at the time either had to be axed or reduce their episodes in their respective season. So, Supernatural Season 3 which was airing at the time had to reduce the episodes. I never thought I would say this but.. The strike kinda sounds like what we have now. Well, depending on what they wanted.

But it would of been pretty cool to see what it would of been like for Season 3 to have the 22 episodes. But that probably won’t happen. I guess we can dream it. Or think it.

Supernatural: Favorite Songs?

I’ll try to clarify what I mean by this. A favorite song or songs from Supernatural that you like very much. There are so many songs used in the show so I’ll list a few of my favorites since I can’t pick one.

  1. Carry on wayward son by Kansas – Played mostly during the road so far recap. Its also known as the unofficial song of Supernatural.
  2. Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi – Kinda describes Dean Winchester. And its awesome.
  3. Back in Black by AC/DC – You will be rocking out to this tune while driving along the highway.
  4. Fight The Good Fight by Triumph – One of those confidence boost songs. Getting ready for the battle of a lifetime.
  5. Renegade by Styx – I think this song describes both Sam and Dean. Or just one of the brothers. But its worth a listen.
  6. When the levee breaks by Led Zeppelin – Its a really good song. It was used in the episode Swan Song if I can recall.

And that’s the list.

Supernatural: Least Favorite Monster?

Leviathans are my least favorite monster. They are so creepy and weird. And the black goo doesn’t help either. They were the focus of Season 7. Their weakness is Borax which is a type of cleaning spray. Or I guess any cleaning spray will do. I think what makes this worse is that.. there is a man named Dick Roman who is their leader. And he kinda creeps me out a bit. I guess its his smile or the way he looks but.. yeah. Avoid them at all costs.
